Over 400 kilometers south of Santiago, it's one of Chile's most southerly wine regions. It lies close to the river and receives both plentiful rainfall and early morning fog. Hence there's a real green, grassy edge and citrus freshness.

This Kiwi Sauvignon, not from Marlborough, but from next-door Nelson. This suntrap region inspired Hermann Seifried to plant vines in 1973. His son makes the wine today and his 2022 is pulsing with zingy lime, nettle leaf and tropical fruit.
Stones & Bones is an exciting new-release - a grassy fresh, tropical-infused Sauvignon Blanc to please this grape’s many fans. It’s from the award-winning Casa Santos Lima estate and cool fermented to bring out the herbaceous, citrusy notes.
Atakarma is a star from Matetic, a winery whose consistent quality has seen it listed in Wine & Spirits magazine’s Top 100 Wineries of the Year four times now.
Nestled in the Colchagua Valley, they source their fruit from across Chile's finest grape-producing valleys.
The Sauvignon for this white was harvested from the banks of the Tinguiririca river, where winds keep the grapes cool and aromatic, with a sparky freshness.
Winemaker Felipe Vial cool fermented this white, giving it a little lees ageing to lend a creamy textured edge.
With a crunch of citrus and tropical fruits, it's an ace apéritif.
